BRANDS I’VE WORKED WITH
I'm a multi-disciplinary designer — visual design and product design both, not one dressed up as the other.
Fourteen years in, starting in graphic design before UX had a standardized path, I've never seen a reason to pick a lane. Most recently that's meant leading product design on carrier-scale products for Xfinity and Verizon: untangling permission logic, keeping a multi-platform product coherent as requirements shift, and translating dense backend complexity into something an ordinary person can actually use.
What I've come to care about just as much is who I get to do that work with. Some of my best working relationships have outlasted the projects that started them; people I still check in on, people whose careers I've kept following well after we stopped working together directly. I like being the person a teammate feels comfortable pulling aside with a half-formed idea.
Outside of work, I run a kennel of 26 sled dogs in rural Washington. It's not a weekend hobby; it's daily care and real logistics, rain or shine. If I'm not at a desk, I'm almost certainly outside with the team, and there's a decent chance I still smell like it when I get back. Fun fact about me, I was cast in an AT&T commercial where I got to play a dog musher.
