Photos for Alaska Airlines Promotions
During my tenure at Alaska Airlines as an eCommerce Visual Designer, we would need to source content for upcoming promotions or feature pages. For destination specific promotions, we’d use iStock to purchase images, but if it was something more specific, we were allowed to source our own images. Luckily I’ve always been handy with a camera.
These two image sets were related to Preferred Plus seating and Mileage Plan. For the Preferred Plus seating promotions, I got together with the Social Media Manager (who was also using the images) and a couple other coworkers (our models) and headed out to SeaTac at 5am to jump on one of the planes in between flights. We worked quickly as we had less than an hour to work.
For the Mileage Plan photos, we used our Social Media Manager’s car and a fellow designer to play hand model. I also did considerable editing and post processing to this photo, since it was somewhat of a close up shot.
