Alaska Beyond Landing Page
Alaska Airlines // 2014

Alaska Airlines was embarking on their first rebranding in mid to late 2014. The copywriter and I were approached by the branding team in November to redesign the Inflight Entertainment page to showcase and unveil new seat designs, media entertainment collection, and inflight food and drink selection. I was able to present one iteration of wireframes with the branding team at the time. The request was put on hold for two weeks, but reappeared in our queue with an urgent turn around of one and a half weeks. The copywriter and I closely worked together to make sure wireframes and comps reflected proper content. Revisions to the copy were frequent, and the designs had to follow suit. Comps were delivered to creative and branding channels several times a day to ensure accuracy in the voice and the design. As the sole designer of the Alaska Beyond landing page, I was invited to the photoshoot of the new features to ensure photos were suitable for web. When the photos were shared with the creative team, I established the header treatment with image and text, and provided a PSD as a template to the rest of the team. The landing page had a Saturday night deadline, in which I was on call to provide last minute adjustments to the header images. It was a strong unveiling for Alaska Airlines with a less than two week creation.

The first wireframe before the request was put on hold.

Second round of wireframes. FPO indicates the need for newer and more appropriate imagery to be supplied by brand team.

Final product for launch.
